The design began with a structural constraint: a 4 × 4 × 5⅜ inch box format. Although the original specification suggested a can, I chose to reinterpret the format as milk cartons to better reflect the product’s material. Inspired by the brand’s signature jar-shaped container—originally derived from the traditional Korean moon jar—I transformed the container form into a character to emphasize the brand’s cheerful personality.
The word “Banana” is enlarged and placed prominently across the packaging, creating a continuous composition around the four sides of the box. Inside, four milk cartons complete the word “Banana” when placed together, each featuring a different facial expression to add a playful and collectible element to the packaging.

The structure is designed as a three-drawer box, guiding the tasting experience through three stages of sweetness. The top drawer contains Yakgwa, a rich honey-based cookie that begins the experience with a deep sweetness. The second drawer features Yugwa, which offers a lighter, airy texture. The final drawer contains Nurungji, ending the sequence with a calm roasted flavor.
The visual identity uses a warm grain-inspired color palette that gradually transitions from darker to lighter tones across the three layers. Patterns are inspired by natural motifs found in Korean decorative traditions, including lotus, vine, and wood textures. Each layer also includes an information card that introduces the snack and explains its cultural background.
